Memorial Historical Collection - Selmec Museum Library

The University of Miskolc's Selmec Museum Library houses the “From Selmec to Miskolc 1735-1985” exhibition and the treasures of the mineral collection from Selmec.

The University History Collection (Museum), which is part of the University Library, Archives and Museum of Miskolc, was founded in 1985 as a specialised collection. The main focus of the Museum is the collection of artefacts related to the history of the University. Among other things, it preserves the symbols of student traditions: uniforms (jackets, shirts, etc. donated to the museum by lecturers and former students), flags, rings, coins, cups, axes.

One of the main tasks of the institution is the preservation of traditions for future generations of students. The museum also has a very extensive collection of photographs.

The entrance and the guided tour are free of charge.
