Metallurgical Museum of the Hungarian Museum for Science, Technology and Transport

The Metallurgical Museum of the Hungarian Museum for Science, Technology and Transport is located in Felső-Hámor, an easy walk from the Lillafüred Hanging Gardens.

The permanent exhibition in the museum, housed in a Baroque listed building, gives an insight into the secrets of iron manufacturing and processing. Visitors can discover working models and dioramas.

The museum offers a variety of colourful museum educational programmes for students, ranging from creative sessions to museum lessons and class trips. Older age groups have the opportunity to get involved with the museum's Friends of the Museum, a group of retired metallurgists.

Other than these times prior arrangement is required.

Guided tours are available in Hungarian and German.
