Hungarian Orthodox Museum
The former Greek school building in Miskolc, overlooking Deák Ferenc Square, houses a permanent exhibition of the artistic and cultural heritage of the Hungarian Orthodox Church.
The exhibition offers visitors a look into the material world of the Greek Orthodox liturgy. You can admire the fine, meticulously hand-crafted crosses of the monks of Mount Athos. The exhibition includes 17th and 18th century Greek Orthodox icons, old school books and pictures of other Orthodox churches in Hungary.
In addition to the museum, you can also visit the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, famous for its iconostasis, by buying a separate ticket.
