Lévay-House

József Lévay lived and died in the late baroque dwelling house built at the end of the 18th century, his memorial plaque can be seen in the middle projection of the street façade.

The closed, large building of U-shaped layout has one storey and an underground level. Its substantial reconstruction took place at the end of the 19th century, when the original staircase - from the 18th century – of the west side-wing of the building of an axle parallel with the street line was demolished and the neighbouring eclectic dwelling house was built with an axle equal to the axle of the original building.

The appearance of the street façade of the dwelling house is determined by the frames and rich surbases of the windows. Its gate of wooden coffers as well as the forged iron grid was manufactured at the turn of the century.
