City planning

We can regard the city as the complex of built objects, as an economic area, ecosystem, social-community site, administrative unit.

City planning has to investigate, which factors generate the development of the city’s state. As a matter of fact it is the planning of such processes, which support determined goals. City planning sets a frame, enabling that good directions can be strengthened and old ones can be cushioned.

First of all the goals of spatial development have to be defined, the aim of the development of the individual territories has to be decided. The regulation plan of the city is an important element of the feasibility of these goals that determines not only the architectural, environmental frames, but represents the „economic and social program” of the city.

By setting good directions it can support the increase of the welfare level of the city’s population, the economic development, the creation of new jobs. Such marketable „city product” has to be offered that attracts the interest for the city and as a result of which a competitive, sustainable, livable city will be „born”.
